You provide MaiCoin with your personal information such as your name, telephone number, telephone bills, e-mail address, date of birth, government identification numbers/ARC numbers, passports numbers and nationality, information regarding your bank account, facial image and biometric identification data generated therefrom, or images or documents containing the aforementioned information, or the relevant personal information of company representatives, beneficial owners, shareholders list or authorized traders when you are opening corporate account to become a registered user for accessing MaiCoin Services and this Site. You also provide MaiCoin with any information related to your Content and Feedback so MaiCoin may, in its sole discretion, proceed the proper actions and procedures under this Privacy Policy and Terms of Use. Some of information you make available to MaiCoin Services and this Site may be searched by search engines. If you use a third-party account login service (such as a social media platform account or other third-party account) to log in to MaiCoin Services and this Site, MaiCoin will collect and store your account identifier, account name or display name, e-mail address, and basic profile information from such third-party service provider in order to establish and identify your registered user status for MaiCoin Services and this Site. The scope of information obtained by MaiCoin is limited to the scope authorized by you on such third-party service and the scope made available by such third-party service provider; the collection, processing, and use of your personal information by such third-party service provider is governed by its own privacy policy and is not subject to this Privacy Policy.

The aforementioned personal information that you provide to MaiCoin are classified as C001 (information identifying individuals), C002 (information identifying finance), C003 (information identifying in government data), C011 (description of an individual), C031 (residence and facilities.), C032 (properties), C083 (credit ratings), and C102 (agreement or contract) in the Specific Purpose and the Classification of Personal Information of the Personal Information Protection Act (“Purpose and Classification”).

  • B. The purposes that MaiCoin collects the aforementioned personal information are (i) authenticating users, (ii) validating the process that you access or use MaiCoin Services and this Site, (iii) establishing and maintaining a responsible commercial relationship with you, (iv) understanding your needs and your eligibility for products and services, (v) informing you about trading and financing features, commercials, advertising materials, and other news, (vi) delivering products and services to you, (vii) processing billing and collection of any fees, (viii) conducting surveys and getting feedback from you, and (ix) meeting MaiCoin’s the legal and regulatory requirements. The aforementioned purposes are classified as 025 (Crime Prevention, Criminal Investigation, Enforcement, Correction, Juvenile Protective Measures, Crime Victim Protection or Rehabilitation Protection), 036 (deposit and remitting), 040 (marketing (including financial cross-selling business)), 063 (non-government agency collect or process personal information under legal obligations), 069 (contract, contract-like or other legal relation matter), 090 (consumer, customer management and service), 094 (property management), 135 (information (communication) services), 136 (information (communication) and database management), 137 (information (communication) security and management, 148 (internet shopping and other electronic commerce services)), 154 (reference), 157 (investigation, statistics and research analysis), and 181 (other business operation in accordance with the business registration or bylaws) in the Purpose and Classification. In addition, when you prepare for or carry out a Virtual Asset transfer (including but not limited to a withdrawal to an external Virtual Asset wallet), you will provide MaiCoin with the information necessary regarding the originator and the beneficiary of the Virtual Asset transfer, including but not limited to the name of the originator and the beneficiary, wallet information for the Virtual Asset being transferred or received, and, as required by applicable laws, regulations, self-regulatory rules, or MaiCoin's announcements on this Site, the date of birth, residential address, official identification number, and the country and city in which the beneficiary is located.

  • A-1. The personal information categories for the aforementioned Virtual Asset transfer information are classified as C001 (information identifying individuals, including identifying information such as Virtual Asset wallet addresses), C002 (information identifying finance), C003 (information identifying in government data), C011 (description of an individual), and C031 (residence and facilities) in the Purpose and Classification.

  • B-1. The purposes that MaiCoin collects the aforementioned Virtual Asset transfer information are (i) complying with MaiCoin's Virtual Asset transfer information obligations under applicable Anti-Money Laundering and counter-terrorist financing laws and regulations, (ii) executing Virtual Asset transfers and verifying the related information, and (iii) retaining such information and providing it to the competent authorities upon request. The aforementioned purposes are classified as 025, 036, 063, 069, 090, 094, 135, 136, 137, 148, 154, 157, and 181 in the Purpose and Classification. MaiCoin may also obtain your personal information, as described in Section 2.1(e) of this Privacy Policy, from other financial institutions, electronic payment institutions, other Virtual Asset Service Providers, the anti-fraud platform approved by the competent authority, third-party identity verification service providers (including the Mobile ID identification service provided by Taiwan-CA, Inc. (TWCA); see: https://www.twca.com.tw/product/8a08562a-ed45-4420-85ec-2eaba0ce5f22), Financial Information Service Co., Ltd., telecommunication companies, and third-party account login service providers.

• (b) Automatically collected information. When you access or use MaiCoin Services and this Site through the internet, MaiCoin may use certain technologies, including, but not limited to cookies and similar technologies, to collect information sent to us through your computer, mobile phone, or other access device, which includes, but not limited to (i) your IP address, device information, such as identifier, device name and type, operating system, location, mobile network information, (ii) the information related to the methods and preferences you interact with MaiCoin Services and this Site, such as your browser type, traffic to and from our site, the link you accessed, the pages you visited, and the time you accessed or exited MaiCoin Services and this Site, and (iii) your username and password.

  • A. The aforementioned personal information that MaiCoin automatically collects are classified as C001 (information identifying individuals), C035 (recreational activities and interests), and C036 (lifestyles) in the Purpose and Classification.
  • B. The purposes that MaiCoin automatically collects the aforementioned personal information are (i) analyzing your usage of MaiCoin Services and this Site; and (ii) developing and customizing MaiCoin Services and this Site according to your preferences. The aforementioned purposes are classified as 040 (marketing (including financial cross-selling business)), 090 (consumer, customer management and service), 135 (information (communication) services), 136 (information (communication) and database management), 148 (internet shopping and other electronic commerce services), 157 (investigation, statistics and research analysis) in the Purpose and Classification, and 181 (other business operation in accordance with the business registration or bylaws).

1.2 MaiCoin will collect your personal information until (a) MaiCoin ceases to provide Services and this Site, or (b) you explicitly request MaiCoin to cease to collect your personal information by contacting us through the contact information referred in this Privacy Policy and in accordance with the Article 6 of this Privacy Policy, in which case we may not be able to provide MaiCoin Services and this Site to you.

1.3 MaiCoin will collect and store your personal information when you access or use MaiCoin Services and this Site. Your personal information may be exported outside of the jurisdiction in which you reside. The location where such information is stored may change from time to time, depending on the services provider used by MaiCoin (the “Data Location”). Under those circumstance, the governments, courts, law enforcement, or regulatory agencies of the Data Location may be able to obtain access to your personal information through foreign laws. You need to be aware that the privacy standards of the Data Location may be lower than those of the jurisdiction in which you reside.

  • A-1. 上述虛擬資產移轉資訊之個人資料類別為：C001（辨識個人者，含虛擬資產錢包位址等識別資訊）、C002（辨識財務者）、C003（政府資料中之辨識者）、C011（個人描述）、C031（住家及設施）。

MaiCoin 蒐集上述虛擬資產移轉資訊之目的為：(i) 遵循防制洗錢及打擊資恐相關法令所定之虛擬資產移轉資訊義務、(ii) 執行虛擬資產移轉及其資訊之核對、(iii) 保存並於權責機關要求時提供。上述目的之類別為：025、036、063、069、090、094、135、136、137、148、154、157、181。 MaiCoin 亦可能依本隱私權政策第 2.1(e) 條所述之情形，自其他金融機構、電子支付機構、其他虛擬資產服務商、財金資訊股份有限公司、經主管機關核准之防制詐欺犯罪平臺、第三方身分驗證服務提供者（含臺灣網路認證股份有限公司所提供之行動身分識別服務，服務條款詳見：https://www.twca.com.tw/product/8a08562a-ed45-4420-85ec-2eaba0ce5f22）、電信業者及第三方帳號登入服務提供者，取得您的個人資料。

• (b) 自動蒐集資訊。當您透過網路進入或使用MaiCoin服務和本網站，MaiCoin會使用某些技術，包含但不限於cookies與類似技術，蒐集您的電腦、手機、或其他通訊設備傳送給我們的資訊，該資訊包含但不限於（i）您的IP位置、設備資訊，例如識別碼、設備名稱及類型、作業系統、位置、網路資訊；（ii）有關您與MaiCoin服務和本網站互動的方式及偏好的資訊，例如您的瀏覽器類型、往返本網站的方式、您點選的網路連結、您瀏覽的網頁、以及您進入與離開MaiCoin服務和本網站的時間；及（iii）您的用戶名稱及密碼。

• (b) Development of MaiCoin Services and this Site. MaiCoin may process and use your personal information, Content, and/or Feedback to develop, improve, and customize MaiCoin Services and this Site. MaiCoin may also perform research and analytics on your personal information to personalize our offering, for example, to make recommendations and to display customized content and advertising in our websites. The purposes of the aforementioned processing and use are classified as 040 (marketing (including financial cross-selling business)), 090 (consumer, Customer Management and Service), 135 (information (communication) services), 136 (information (communication) and database management), 148 (internet shopping and other electronic commerce services), and 157 (investigation, statistics and research analysis) in the Purpose and Classification.
• (c) Service-Related Interaction. MaiCoin may process and use your personal information, Content, and/or Feedback to communicate with you, for example, to provide information relating to MaiCoin Services and this Site. MaiCoin may also send service-related email, conduct surveys and get Feedback from you or otherwise interact with you when you register with or access MaiCoin Services and this Site based on the information you provide us. The purposes of the aforementioned processing and use are classified as 040 (marketing (including financial cross-selling business)), 069 (contract, contract-like or other legal relation matter), 090 (consumer, Customer Management and Service), 135 (information (communication) services), 136 (information (communication) and database management), 148 (internet shopping and other electronic commerce services), 157 (investigation, statistics and research analysis), and 181 (other business operation in accordance with the business registration or bylaws) in the Purpose and Classification.
• (d) Dispose of de-identified personal information. To the extent permitted by applicable laws, MaiCoin may dispose the information it collects during the process of providing MaiCoin Services to other third party, provided that MaiCoin will take de-identification measures (such as removing personal identifiers and removing or altering other information that may allow any person to be identified). However, please note that there is a possibility that another dataset or other information could be matched with the de-identified information. MaiCoin does not guarantee that the de-identified information will not be re-identified.
• (e) Compliance with laws and regulations. MaiCoin may process and use your personal information, Content, and/or Feedback to meet legal and regulatory requirements, including, but not limited to, Fraud Crime Prevention, Anti-Money Laundering and counter-terrorist financing, any self-regulatory rules established by the Taiwan Virtual Asset Service Provider Association, or as otherwise may be necessary to execute the agreement between you and MaiCoin. MaiCoin reserves the right to retain and share certain personal information in order to meet our regulatory requirements, and further to our contractual agreements with partners and third parties, including but not limited to financial institutions such as banks. Please note that MaiCoin may provide your personal information to its partner financial institutions (the “Financial Institutions Engaged”), including but not limited to Far Eastern International Bank and/or Union Bank Of Taiwan, and the financial institution at which you hold the deposit account you link on this Site, and third parties appointed by the Financial Institutions Engaged to handle related matters. Furthermore, the Financial Institutions Engaged and their appointed third parties may process and use your personal information within the scope of specific purposes related to the partnership, including but not limited to identity verification, authentication of designated deposit accounts, prevention of financial crimes, compliance with Anti-Money Laundering and Counter-Terrorism Financing regulations, and fraud prevention. MaiCoin may also, within the specific purposes of fraud crime prevention, anti-money laundering, and counter-terrorist financing, collect, process, or use your identity information, the status of your MaiCoin account and Virtual Asset account (including but not limited to information on flagged accounts, flagged Virtual Asset accounts, derivative control accounts, suspension of transactions, account freezes, and account closures), and transaction records, or your dealings with financial institutions, electronic payment institutions, and other Virtual Asset Service Providers, and may, through the anti-fraud platform approved by the competent authority or other appropriate means, report or make inquiries of relevant financial institutions, electronic payment institutions, credit card business institutions, other Virtual Asset Service Providers, Financial Information Service Co., Ltd., and judicial police or judicial authorities regarding such personal information; the aforementioned institutions may, within the same specific purposes, collect, process, and use your personal information. The purposes of the aforementioned collection, processing, and use are classified as 025, 063, 069, 090, 137, 154, 157, and 181 in the Purpose and Classification. MaiCoin may also share your personal information within the necessary scope to meet the investigative or prosecutorial needs of judicial authorities (including courts, police, prosecutorial agencies, and national security authorities) from different jurisdictions. The purposes of the aforementioned processing and use are classified as 014 (Civil Servants Property-Declaration, Recusal Due to Conflicts of Interests and Campaign Contributions), 025 (Crime Prevention, Criminal Investigation, Enforcement, Correction, Juvenile Protective Measures, Crime Victim Protection or Rehabilitation Protection), 063 (non-government agency collect or process personal information under legal obligations), 069 (contract, contract-like or other legal relation matter), 090 (consumer, customer management and service), 137 (information (communication) security and management, 154 (reference), 157 (investigation, statistics and research analysis), and 181 (other business operation in accordance with the business registration or bylaws).
• (f) Transmission of Virtual Asset Transfer Information. In order to comply with the Virtual Asset transfer information obligations under applicable Anti-Money Laundering and counter-terrorist financing laws and regulations, when you carry out a Virtual Asset transfer, MaiCoin will promptly and securely provide the necessary information regarding the originator and the beneficiary to the counterparty to such transfer (whether the receiving party or the transferring party), its appointed service provider, and the Virtual Asset transfer information transmission solution provider used by MaiCoin; where MaiCoin acts as the receiving party, MaiCoin will reconcile the information it holds against the information provided by the transferring party. MaiCoin will retain the aforementioned information in accordance with applicable laws and regulations and will provide it to the competent authorities upon request. The recipients of the aforementioned transmission may be located outside the Republic of China, and their location will vary and is not fixed depending on the counterparty to the transaction; the standards for personal information protection in such countries or regions may be lower than those of the Republic of China. This transmission is a statutory obligation of MaiCoin; if MaiCoin is unable to obtain the aforementioned necessary information, MaiCoin will not be able to carry out the Virtual Asset transfer on your behalf. The purposes of the aforementioned processing and use are classified as 025, 036, 063, 069, 090, 137, 154, 157, and 181 in the Purpose and Classification.

2.2 MaiCoin will process and use your personal information until (a) MaiCoin ceases to provide Services and this Site, or (b) you explicitly request MaiCoin to cease to process and use your personal information by contacting us through the contact information referred in this Privacy Policy, in which case we may not be able to provide MaiCoin Services and this Site to you.

2.3 MaiCoin will process and use your personal information and other data in the Data Location and it may be outside of the jurisdiction in which you reside. Under those circumstance, the governments, courts, law enforcement, or regulatory agencies of the Data Location may be able to obtain access to your personal information through foreign laws. You need to be aware that the privacy standards of the Data Location may be lower than those of the jurisdiction in which you reside. In addition to the aforementioned Data Location, personal information transmissions made by MaiCoin under Sections 2.1(e) and 2.1(f) of this Privacy Policy may be received by parties located in other countries or regions outside the Republic of China, which will vary and are not fixed depending on the counterparty to the transaction or the institution being consulted.

• (f) 虛擬資產移轉資訊之傳輸。為遵循防制洗錢及打擊資恐相關法令所定之虛擬資產移轉資訊義務，MaiCoin於您進行虛擬資產移轉時，將轉出人及接收人之必要資訊，立即且安全地提供予該筆移轉之交易對手（接收方或轉出方）、其委任之服務提供者，及MaiCoin所使用之虛擬資產移轉資訊傳遞解決方案提供者；MaiCoin擔任接收方時，並將所持有之資訊與轉出方所提供之資訊進行核對。MaiCoin並將依相關法令規定保存前開資訊，及於權責機關要求時提供。前開傳輸之對象可能位於中華民國境外，其所在之國家或地區因交易對手而異，並不特定；該等國家或地區對於個人資料保護之標準可能低於中華民國。本項傳輸係MaiCoin之法定義務；未能取得前開必要資訊時，MaiCoin將無法為您執行該筆虛擬資產移轉。上述處理與利用之目的類別為：025、036、063、069、090、137、154、157、181。

These third parties may also use cookies and similar technologies to collect similar information about your use of MaiCoin Services and this Site. MaiCoin does not provide any information that can identify you personally to these third-party service providers without your consent. However, MaiCoin does not control the third parties’ use of such technologies and their use is governed by those parties’ privacy policies, not subject to this Privacy Policy.

3.2 MaiCoin may allow third-party ad servers or ad networks to serve advertisements on MaiCoin Services and this Site and on third-party services. These third-party ad servers or ad networks use technology to send, directly to your browser, the advertisements and links that appear on MaiCoin Services. They automatically receive your IP address when this happens. They may also use other technologies to measure the effectiveness of their advertisements and to personalize the advertising content. This does not apply, however, where required by applicable laws and regulations or necessary for MaiCoin to perform its statutory obligations.

MaiCoin may share or transfer your personal information with essential third parties, including, but not limited to MaiCoin and its Affiliates, the Financial Institutions Engaged (referring to the financial institutions in collaboration with MaiCoin such as Far Eastern International Bank and/or Union Bank Of Taiwan), the third party service providers engaged by the Financial Institutions Engaged, telecommunication companies, third-party identity verification service providers, other deposit-taking institutions, electronic payment institutions, card-issuing institutions, other Virtual Asset Service Providers, Financial Information Service Co., Ltd., or the anti-fraud platform approved by the competent authority, and other service providers at the reasonable discretion of MaiCoin, to facilitate your access to or use of MaiCoin Services and this Site, enhance our KYC (know your customers) verifications procedures, and assist MaiCoin and the Financial Institutions Engaged with implementation of any Fraud Crime Prevention, Anti-Money Laundering and Counter-Terrorist Policies. These essential third parties may collect, process, and use your personal information, which are classified as C001 (information identifying individuals), C002 (information identifying finance), C003 (information identifying in government data), C011 (description of an individual), C031 (residence and facilities.), C032 (properties), C083 (credit ratings), and C102 (agreement or contract) for the aforementioned purposes, which is classified as 014 (Civil Servants Property-Declaration, Recusal Due to Conflicts of Interests and Campaign Contributions), 025 (Crime Prevention, Criminal Investigation, Enforcement, Correction, Juvenile Protective Measures, Crime Victim Protection or Rehabilitation Protection), 063 (non-government agency collect or process personal information under legal obligations), 069 (contract, contract-like or other legal relation matter), 090 (consumer, customer management and service), 094 (property management), 135 (information (communication) services), 136 (information (communication) and database management), 137 (information (communication) security and management, 154 (reference), 157 (investigation, statistics and research analysis), and 181 (other business operation in accordance with the business registration or bylaws) in the Purpose and Classification. MaiCoin's response to the aforementioned essential third parties' routine or reasonable requests for information made pursuant to applicable laws or their internal policies is not limited to personal information within the scope of MaiCoin's business cooperation with such parties. If you do not agree to our sharing with MaiCoin and its Affiliates, the Financial Institutions Engaged and the third party service providers engaged by the Financial Institutions Engaged, telecommunication companies, third-party identity verification service providers, Financial Information Service Co., Ltd. or other service providers at the reasonable discretion of MaiCoin, please do not register with or access MaiCoin services or this Site. If you have already registered with MaiCoin or accessed this Site, please contact us immediately through the contact information referred in this Privacy Policy to exercise your rights as stipulated in Article 6 of this Privacy Policy, in which case MaiCoin may not be able to provide MaiCoin Services and this Site to you.
• (c) Legal Compliance and Law Enforcement. • (d) Mergers and Acquisitions. Information that MaiCoin collects is considered a business asset. • (e) Beneficiaries Meeting. When MaiCoin winds up, become insolvent, dissolve, or cease to operate its business, the Financial Institutions Engaged may use the personal information that it collects under Section 4.1 (b) to convene beneficiaries meeting(s).
• (f) Counterparty to Virtual Asset Transfers. The recipients of the Virtual Asset transfer information transmitted by MaiCoin under Section 2.1(f) of this Privacy Policy include the counterparty to such transfer (whether the receiving party or the transferring party), its appointed service provider, and the Virtual Asset transfer information transmission solution provider used by MaiCoin. Such parties collect, process, and use your personal information within the specific purposes of the aforementioned statutory obligation.

5. PROTECTION OF INFORMATION

5.1 MaiCoin uses reasonable technical and organizational information security measures to provide appropriate protection for your personal information from leaking or unauthorized access and prevent such risks of providing personal information.

5.2 MaiCoin cannot, however, guarantee the personal information you provided or we collected may not be accessed, disclosed, altered, or destroyed by any attacks from hackers or any skilled computer experts.

6.1 You may exercise your rights stipulated in Section 6.2 with regard to your personal information collected, processed, and used by MaiCoin, and you may delete your MaiCoin Account, in which case we may not be able to provide MaiCoin Services and this Site to you.

6.2 You have the right, subject to the applicable laws and Section 6.3 and Section 6.4 of this Privacy Policy,

• (a) to inquire or request for a review of the personal information MaiCoin has collected from you;
• (b) to make duplications of the personal information MaiCoin has collected from you;
• (c) to replenish and rectify the personal information MaiCoin has collected from you;
• (d) to request MaiCoin to discontinue our collection, processing and use of the personal information MaiCoin has collected from you; and
• (e) to delete any personal information MaiCoin has collected from you, by yourself or by requesting MaiCoin to do so, in which case we may not be able to provide MaiCoin Services and this Site to you thereafter. MaiCoin cannot, however, delete such personal information that is necessary for compliance with binding legal obligations or if the personal information must be retained according to applicable laws.

6.3 Upon your inquiry or request for a review and making duplication of the personal information MaiCoin has collected from you, MaiCoin shall determine whether to agree to such request within fifteen (15) days from the date on which MaiCoin receives your request, except:

• (a) when the national security, diplomatic and military secrets, the macro-economic interests or other major national interests may be harmed;
• (b) when the performance of official duties may be interfered with; and
• (c) when the major interests of MaiCoin or a third person may be affected. The fifteen-day period may be extended to a time period of no longer than fifteen (15) days when necessary and you will be notified of the reason of extension in writing (either in electronic or hard-copy form). Please note that MaiCoin may charge a fee to those who make an inquiry or request to review or make duplications of their personal information.

6.4 You may, as appropriate and in accordance with applicable laws, exercise your rights mentioned above by contacting us through the contact information referred in this Privacy Policy. In some cases, for example, delete or cease the processing or use of your personal information may mean that we may not be able to provide MaiCoin Services and this Site to you.

• (a) there is a dispute regarding the accuracy of your personal information;
• (b) the processing or use of such personal information is either necessary for the performance of an official duty or fulfillment of a legal obligation of MaiCoin or agreed by you in writing (either in electronic or hard-copy form); and
• (c) such dispute has been recorded. The thirty-day period may be extended to a time period of no longer than thirty (30) days when necessary and you will be notified of the reason of extension in writing (either in electronic or hard-copy form).
